Excellent design & material. You basically don't feel it when swimming + you stay warm (even in SF bay).
Make sure to buy 2 sizes over your actual size.

I read all the reviews, studied the size chart and made the purchase- suit did not fit and since it was a final sale, swim outlet will not exchange. My fault for not reading the fine print but I'll never buy from them again. Exchanges or even store credit should never be excluded from puchases, expecially hard to judge size items like wetsuits. I was offered 10% to buy a new one, what a joke.

This wetsuit is much, much better than my old Camaro Speedsuit. It was easy to put on and even easier to take off. Feels soft and very flexible. Overall, very good wetsuit for $500. I am very satisfied with the buoyancy, and maneuverability. I use it for Iron Man training in an open water. I hope it's going to be durable as well.

I purchased my suit at the Wildflower event earlier this year. Prior to the purchase, I was looking at the TYR Freak of Nature, and took the advice of the Orca rep and tried the Razor as an alternative suite for triathletes with a heavy swimming background.... I am very thankful I did! The suit may not have as many features as the +$1,000 suits, but that is actually better for me since I prefer less buoyancy in the chest and arms and less of the core stabilizers etc. My results were right in line with what I expected (Wildflower long course time was roughly 28 min and Ironman CdA swim time was 1:01 (which was actually a good time considering how choppy the conditions were... literally worse than my days lifeguarding open ocean). The suit floats the feet just enough, but allows me to maintain a full kick which is also really nice.

Very-Very happy with this suit and would recommend to any triathlete with a swimming background!

More From ORCA

In 1992, Scott Unsworth, a former New Zealand age-group triathlon champion, stopped competing due to a chronic back injury. Through his experience working as a swim coach, and from his first-hand experience in triathlon competition, Scott saw that the wetsuits being used by triathletes were completely inadequate for swimming, and he started a company called Performance Speedsuits Ltd.

Scott's early designs were directly inspired by his personal experience with the demands of the sport, and to this day Orca's designs and features are the direct result of working with professional athletes. In the five short years since Orca was launched in 1995 the brand was able to firmly establish itself as a favorite among the world's elite triathletes, and at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia two thirds of all triathlon competitors wore Orca Speedsuits in the swim leg of the event.

Orca products continue to be designed by and tested on athletes, not computer models, so you can be sure that the designs, materials and production techniques that go into Orca's championship-winning suits are always on the cutting edge.
