    5 Review Stars By Carol

My favorite pair of shorts by far. The only negative is that they do ride up your butt when in the water. Small imperfection to deal with. The great thing is that they make a great substitute for bikini bottoms. I love to wear them when I am riding my Cannondale bike. Or operating my Fly Board, and Sea Bob in the water. This is when the shorts will ride up my butt most often when riding the Fly Board. Not a big deal except when I am putting on a show and people are gathered around watching and when I turn around to do a back flip and my cheek's are exposed like I am wearing a thong. Due to the devise's layout  and me being 40 feet in the air I can not reach back with my hand's and remove the wedge. So... it get's worse and sometimes hurts. I need the shorts to be tight and flattering but not to that existent. All negatives aside I like these shorts.

  • 8/8/2011 Great dry, bad wet

2 Review Stars By Lee B.

Out of the water, these are really a superior product, very well made, cut very well through the crotch (so difficult to find that in boyshorts or tight board shorts), and the fit is excellent.  But there are serious problems with getting them wet , which for me, defeats the whole purpose of wearing them.  The material used, which is so comfortable and looks so good dry, should do great in the water, it's made for that, but the shorts ride up in the crotch when swimming (I was actually sore afterward), and when you get out of the water, everything shows, and I mean everything.  They completely conform to your body...down there.  And there is no way to "adjust" them to fix the problem.  Plus, they take at least two days to dry, which is inconvenient after washing if you want to wear them again the next day, and completely impractical while wearing them--they just stay wet once you get them wet.  So unfortunately a very impractical product, unless you just want to look cool and stay OUT of the water.

  • 7/30/2011 Color Matches O'Neill Rashguards

    5 Review Stars By Spyfarm

Used for beach, pool and inbetween both. O'Neill Women's "Skins" tend to run one size small. Knowing this will save you a return on a great short.

These shorts have a bulky, unflattering seam across the crotch.  Too bad! I had to return them.

More From O'NEILL

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
