I wear a size 12 swimsuit so I purchased the sz L.  It was a tight fit for me.  I would suggest ordering up one size to be sure to have room to wear over a bathing suit. nice material.

  • 7/13/2012 Even @ XL size it was too small

    3 Review Stars By Son_of_FL

This is a true surfer-rash guard shirt.  It is a tight fit even at an XL size.  This was bought for my wife but she was looking for a more loose fitting rash guard shirt so we returned the product.

I wear a medium in tops and I ordered a large in this rashguard. It's tighter than I thought it would be. But it still fits well, I use it to teach swimming lessons. Good sun protection.

4 Review Stars By Tammy D.

Prior to my purchase I read the reviews and followed the recommendations to order a size larger b/c swimshirts run small.  I normally  wear a small, but I ordered a medium and it fit perfect.  The small would have been too small.
I especially love this shirt b/c it serves 2 purposes.  It protects me from the sun on hot days and on cool nights when I want to swim I wear it to keep me warm.  I would recommend this shirt to others.

  • 4/21/2011 rashguard for sun protection

3 Review Stars By san antonio rose

I was looking for a shirt to wear for sun protection and at the lake. This fits a little small, I got the XL, I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs.  The sleeves are a bit short and its a little snug but should be fine when I'm riding the jetski but not so comfortable to wear otherwise (working in the yard, etc.)  It's seems to be fine for what it's made for.

  • 5/22/2012 Great shirt. Runs small.

4 Review Stars By One C

I'm a size 4 and wear small/medium shirt but I had to return this shirt for a large and the large fits well without being too tight. I would only order a smaller size if you have a six pack that you want to show off. I am thin but not "ripped" so I felt more comfortable in a large which is tight but not too tight.

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
