  • 2/20/2018 Nice but small.

I ordered a medium, which is my size, but this was a small medium and it did not fit me. I didn't like to return it so I gave it to my daughter. She still has to wear it. Hope it fits her.

Extremely small - I usually wear a size small but after reading reviews ordered a medium. I should have ordered a large. I can just squeeze it on and am hoping it will stretch out a bit in the water.

Material and construction is very good but it runs small.  I would suggest getting the next bigger size than what you normally wear.  I bought two other rash guards from different makers and they were true to size but this one was very tight.

I like the O'Neil rashguards: have several of them.  I am not large but these are very snug when I first wear them--they stretch out over the next six months.  I wear them for warmth, an illusion, as when I get in the pool they do not protect me from the cold water, but they feel better than bare skin.  In the  summer when I swim outdoors, they keep me from getting sun burned on  the parts of my body which are covered.

Don't be put-off by the initial tightness of the rashguard.  They stretch out, and this is a great product.

I reviewed this item before and gave it five stars. Now, after using it for sun protection in pool swimming, I have to revise my assessment. Although the medium fit really well at first it stretched out quite a lot. The sleeves are loose and ripple when swimming.  The body stretched out as well and tends to ride up. Although the color still looks great, I need a new one. At this rate I would need four a year! I expected more from O'Neill.

I bought the deep sea blue. Love the color! I am 5'4" 130 lbs and normally I wear a size small or medium in tops. I decided to ORDER the LARGE. Glad I did! These type of shirts are supposed to have a tight fit. This top has a fitted look/feel but is comfortable. I am glad to know I will be saving tons of money by not having to apply sunscreen to my arms/torso by wearing this long sleeve top. The tag even reads recommended for approval by the skin cancer foundation because of the UV protection.... added plus!!!!

I love this top! Great material and great fit! Really high quality with wonderful sporty lines to it! I have to keep covered because of precancer spots and I can be in the sun hiking or paddleboarding all day and not get burned!!! I bought a size up only because I didn't want it skin tight!. I can't say enough! Love the color and looks like the picture!

This is my second O'Neill rashguard. I wear them for sun protection over my swim suit as I have had Melanoma. I am 5"6", 130 lbs. and ordered a large--it is plenty tight. These rashguards hold up well and are well made. Highly recommend!

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
