  • 3/30/2017 ripped after one use, WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN

    1 Review Stars By SG

The item fit perfectly looked great, but offered marginal warmth even in an indoor pool.

After the first use, I put it in a drying spinner found in the locker room. When it came out it was ripped in numerous places. Ive dried bathing suits for years in the same spinner. WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN

4 Review Stars By Braun M.

when i started looking for this, i did not know just what to get.  i wanted a specific thing, not a wetsuit.  i wanted something two-piece.  since i already had my insotherm bottoms, all i needed was the top.  i settled on the O'NEILThermo Rashguard, basically out of lack of options but it has worked out well.  the biggger size gives me better range of motion in the water when i do my workout too.

  • 4/5/2011 Great for swimming, fits tight, but too short in torso

4 Review Stars By William S.

Pros: Warm and light, fits well through shoulders, great for swimming, no buoyancy.
    Cons: Too short in torso.

I wanted a shirt to wear swimming when the lake is a bit cold. This provides a decent amount of warmth, more than an ordinary lycra rashguard. I wanted a rashguard like this over one with neoprene because I didn't want any buoyancy -- wanted to feel the same in the water as not wearing one, which it is.

Great freedom in the shoulders for swimming. The neck is actually pretty high, but not so high to be uncomfortable. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing it.

A medium fits me skin-tight, and I can just barely get it on and off, but this is just what I wanted for swimming. My chest is 40", waist 35", height 5'11"; it wouldn't fit anyone bigger than me.

The one downside to this shirt is its length (and why I'm only giving it 4 stars and not 5). It is short in the torso. It could use another 2-3 inches of length. It barely covers my bellybutton. I would definitely not recommend it for anyone taller than me.

  • 10/2/2010 give it a try, it's better than you think.

    4 Review Stars By sealine

when i first got this i thought it was way too small, i could barely get it on but since i had nothing else, i figured i'd try it.  once in the water, it practically disappears, no discomfort at all.  well, ok, maybe the neck was still a teeny bit snug, but not too distracting.  everything about it was better than the body glove rash guards i used before.  it's much warmer, even though it's short sleeve.  also, love the black on black.  will definitely be buying the l/s version for winter.  (indoor pool lap swim)

Chest, Neck and arms fits awesome. But I always find myself pulling down the waist of the shirt.

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
