  • 1/20/2021 Warm and a great fit

    5 Review Stars By Mike

Very happy with this suit.  Have surfed in it several times in 55-58 degree water. It’s far superior to my back zip suit.  The seals around the neck and shoulders are great at keeping cold water from “flushing” in.  The cut of this suit is also a bit trimmer than my old suit so there’s less room for any water that does get in.  As another reviewer noted, chest zip suits require more shimmying to get in and out of but the warmth are comfort are well worth it with this suit.  Glad I made the switch.

    5 Review Stars By Chuck

Fits well, and very stretchy, which helps with putting it on over my size twelve feet and giving full range of motion in the shoulders when swimming. Took a bit of work figuring out the gymnastics of putting on a front-zip after decades ago of back-zips, but love it now and can’t see going back.

  • 4/16/2020 Great Swimming Suit

4 Review Stars By Sid L.

During the pandemic my swim club/team pool closed. I purchased this wetsuit to swim in cold waters in the San Francisco Bay. This suit keeps me very warm. I was worried about the range of motion for the shoulders and buoyancy, but the suit has worked out well for swimming.

My only complaint is getting into it by myself. There is a little hole for your entire body to fit into. All is good until the shoulders. It takes a lot of effort, but worth the struggle if it keeps me warm. Love this suit!

About This Brand

Jack O'Neill began surfing in 1952, before functional surf apparel was invented. While working for the Army Air Corps, O'Neill discovered neoprene foam in a DC-3 airplane. He then combined the neoprene carpeting with duct tape to create the first neoprene wetsuit.

Demand for O'Neill's neoprene wetsuits grew rapidly and he began a business selling the O'Neill wetsuits out of his garage. By 1980, he was a leader in the beach apparel industry with a thriving business. Since then, O'Neill™ has become a widely recognized and respected brand in the surf industry, continually creating new and innovative products. In addition to O'Neill wetsuits, they carry O'Neill boardshorts, O'Neill dresses, O'Neill hats, O'Neill rash guards, O'Neill swimsuits, O'Neill water shoes, O'Neill sandals, O'Neill life jackets and O'Neill t-shirts.

In addition to his business success, O'Neill also created a non-profit foundation for kids. O'Neill developed the O'Neill Sea Odyssey Program: a free, educational cruise that introduces kids to the microbiology of the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, beginning at Jack O'Neill's doorstep.
