  • 8/10/2010 Great board at a great price

    5 Review Stars By HangemHigh

This board held up well with medium waves and several different body sizes/type riding it in the surf of the OBX.
It is light and easy to get onto.
We were getting rides all of the way up onto the beach, grinding to a stop on the sand. There was some scuffing of the bottom of the board due to this, but that was to be expected.

Morey Bodyboards

On July 7 1971, Tom Morey had an idea. On that day, he borrowed an electric carving knife, a household iron and whittled some scrap polyethylene foam. With the foam, he formed his masterpiece into a small rectangular mat and covered it with newspaper. Thus, the body board was born and kids and adults have been having with the product ever since. After he created the item, he trademarked the name and placed an ad in a surfing magazine. The rest is history. By 1977, he was producing 80,000 a year and they couldn't keep them on the shelves long enough.

Some might remember the iconic commercial back in the 80's that advertised the famous board with a merry jingle reminiscent of the Beach Boys. From the 70's, all the way until today, Morey Body Boards have been a hit with families across the world. The Morey Body Board is specifically made to be laid down on and not stood on, hence the name body board! This is a fun alternative to those that are just trying their hands at board sports in the water. Whatever your preference, try out an original Morey Body Board, they're fun, easy to use and best of all, inexpensive for a great time.
