It's a great jacket keeps you warm. Soft and comfortable but not water proof on the outside. Inside has a liner so you can throw it on over your bathing suit for a quick warm up in between races. I really like that it covers your butt so you can sit on the sand in your wet suit without getting a dirty butt. It is a bulky jacket in my opinion not a light weight wind breaker that you can roll up real small and stuff into a small gear bag.
