    Grif Fig, BS, CSCS, is the Director of Education at the Institute of Human Performance (IHP). He has been strength and conditioning coach at IHP for over 6 years and has worked with swimmers that are ranked tops in the world, nation and state. He has also been involved in competitive swimming for over 24 years, as a swimmer and as a coach. Fig received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Florida Atlantic University. He is a member and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a member and Level II certified through the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA). Fig has been published by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Swim Coaches Association. He has also lectured on several different topics related to strength training and swimming around the country. He has also done projects with Men’s Health magazine and other organizations.

    Juan Carlos Santana is the founder of the Institute of Human Performance. He is recognized worldwide in the fitness industry as a dynamic speaker, sought-after consultant, and prolific author. For over 30 years Juan Carlos “JC” Santana has been raising the bar in the fitness industry. Santana has been referred to as “the country’s leading practitioner of functional fitness” and personally trained and developed specific programs for all professional sports, youth fitness, fitness for the mature populations, and accelerated rehabilitation.
