    5 Review Stars By Savvyshopper

Ordered for club swim as requested by coach.  Ordered the medium based on reviews for my daughter who wears a woman's size 7.5-8.  They fit, one is a little looser because one foot is smaller but they don't fall off because of strap.  If I had gotten the small I think it would have been too small because she has a wide foot.  She says she isn't as fast with these compared to the longer fins, but the coach said these are better for your legs and your knees aren't being used as much as with other fins.

  • 7/26/2014 Great swim fins - FAST!

    5 Review Stars By Mac

The silicon material and design makes them spur comfortable to wear and no rubbing anywhere. I've been swimming for 35 years and they are the fastest fins I used. Plan on using them for body surfing too. They allow you to kick both up and down motion while some fins only allow down motion which really helps you move on butterfly.

I'm an old out of shape diver. I had not swam in 24 years. Our small town just opened a new pool. With the help of these fins, in two weeks, I am up to swimming one mile every morning. Nothing like dive fins, with these you get a great workout without cramping. I would recommend.

    4 Review Stars By Z2000

My big toe gets cramped in the foot pocket and my right ankle is sore after a day of body surfing. But I found that this fin has become one of my favorites for its excellent power in and on the wave and whether swimming breast stroke or free style and for catching the waves.

    5 Review Stars By Ed

Great in the surf. Stay on your feet snugly without pain. Body surfed in Newport and they worked well. Now using them for long training swims at Lake Tahoe. They are a little more sturdy than the Hydro training fins I use daily at my pool swim practices. These were a good buy

  • 11/1/2015 best fin yet

5 Review Stars By old guy

I have owned and discarded too many fins over the years.  Most often it was because of fit and the damage my feet sustained after a day of body surfing.  These fins are astounding.  No sores, no blisters, no hot spots and great power.  I'd buy them again for sure.  I wear size 13 shoes and the extra-large fit perfectly.  So far, the sand vent has worked perfectly.  As you can tell, I was quite impressed.

  • 12/28/2016 Heavier than expected

    3 Review Stars By JD

I bought these fins for pool and open water workouts, and I ended up returning them.  Primary issue was that they were too heavy.  Secondary was that the shape of the fin was such that I found myself hitting the toes of the fins together unless I deliberately separated my feet beyond what was comfortable.  The foot fit was ok.  They were slightly big.  For my feet (10.5-11 shoe size) the 10-11 seemed like it would have been better with relatively thin booties.  My previous fins were the old Zoomers (blue).

They fit well and will teach you to put your feet in the right direction, but are a little heavy for me.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

Hydro

Australian Surfer's innovation and decades of dedicated development have gone into Hydro's collection of Swim and Surf Finz. Introduced in 1986, the Hydro Original Finz made a splash on the bodyboarding scene as the first surfing fin made specifically for tube riding. The Patented "V" Rail—first appearing on the Hydro Original Finz—provides an increased kick to thrust ratio and creates traction for trimming & stabilizing. Hydro continues to evolve their designs: their new Tech 2 Swim Finz are made of a super-soft silicone, and are designed not only to flex laterally, but also to TWIST during both the up and down kicks, emulating several sea animals' evolved aquatic propulsion methods. Hydro fins are now used all over the world for training and recreation, an even out in the most extreme open-water conditions by Australian Helicopter Surf Rescue Teams and Lifeguards.
