  • 10/13/2008 Good for relaxing

3 Review Stars By Matt Zobrist

This unit is really easy to sync w/ my PC and has plenty of space for your songs.  The design has multiple functions for its buttons which takes some practice to get used to - and then its still not intuitive.

My main complaint was the volume always seemed to be low - even when set to MAX and I couldn't hear when I was working out.  The earplugs leaked and as soon as water got inside the plugs they would stop working.  They were good when I was just floating (and never got any water in my ear), but weren't good for working out.

Also, the armband is really small (I am a pretty big guy, but not that big) and tight, so I had to attach it to my suit. It worked okay.  It said you can attach it to your goggle strap, but I didn't try that and the cord is too long for that anyway.

  • 10/13/2008 Great Player, lose the ear buds

4 Review Stars By Riley Ryan

Great MP3 player!!  The manual lacks clarity of detail, especially with where to download your music files.  I have had two of these.  I have never been able to sync them with my PCs, however drag & drop works great.  the sound quality is excellent.  Volumn is only a problem with the supplied earphones.  Ditch these and get others.  I use Waves for swimming.  I swim strong, 10-15 miles a week.  These clip on to your goggle strap just fine.  Advise clipping on upside down so the phone jack points toward your feet.  Gently fold the excessive cable and tie wrap.  I believe these are the best on the market for overall application sans the earphones.  The unit is very rugged, light, and uses standard headphones or earphones with a 3.5 mm jack.  I have logged over 250 miles with the 1 gig model with no issues.

  • 10/13/2008 I Will Never Swim Without It!!!

    4 Review Stars By DYockman

I love having my music in the pool! I can't imagine swimming without this nifty MP3 player again. I have had the same experience as the others in that the headphones aren't so great ( I will get better ones soon) and drag and drop for loading songs works well, but couldn't make the synch function work. Overall, it is a great little gadget and I will NEVER swim without music again!!!!

Five years ago, a couple of surfers noticed there wasn't a watch that could stand up to harsh surfing conditions, and they decided to change that.

What started out as a wrist wallet company, quickly evolved into Freestyle, a surf watch brand that produced the first ever surf watch- The Shark. Dominating the surf industry, The Shark's reputation for durability and excellent water resistance made it an instant staple for legendary surfers Kelly Slater, Lisa Anderssen, Mark Foo and Mike Stewart.

Today, Freestyle's diverse collection includes performance and lifestyle watches in addition to athlete designed, signature pieces, retro-influenced styles like Capitan and the functional Tide 2.0.
