  • 9/21/2017 Quite like the ones Ben Franklin patented...

    5 Review Stars By Phill

My grandson (special needs) and I (age 81) both like these fins and recommend them to all who ask. They are small and easier to travel with than longer fins. They enhance propulsation in all strokes just enough to help but not so much that you don't get enough challenge for your swim time. I find them great for adding variety to my usual swim time. I swim with these, no fins, and then longer fins for the my usual 30 minute, 1000 or so yards. I like them better than zoomers which are similar but with a shoe like fit.

  • 1/21/2015 LOVE these!

5 Review Stars By Heather TJP

I've been swimming consistently several times a week for the past four-ish years, and these fins, by far, are the best! They're excellent to move back and forth between free-style and breast stroke seamlessly. Mermaid kick with them on your back and your hammies and quads really feel a good burn!!! It's great to wear these for a hard swimming work out, but they've also just made me a better swimmer overall. People are always fascinated with them in the gym, and they're not very popular, but I always recommend them. The only one small thing I will say, is to wear a little sock in them because they rub off pedicures. Otherwise, I can't imagine my swimming life without them!

  • 9/21/2017 Put Painful Strain on my Arches

    1 Review Stars By JohnnyBoy

It may be just me but I found these odd looking fins immediately put a painful strain on my arches. I thus stopped trying them out. Perhaps I'll give them another try in  the future when my legs are stronger. I would suggest the casual swimmer look elsewhere for comfortable fins.

  • 3/12/2014 Great versatile fins!

5 Review Stars By Deborah B.

As I am working at getting back in shape, I am using these fins to help my legs function better. The versatility in being able to use them for all strokes (not much of a side-stroker so can't comment), better than other kinds of fins. They have proven equal to my upper body strength. My only slight complaint is the inside rubs my toes. I have been using athletic tape to wrap them and will be using fin socks to protect them when they arrive. Other than that, I think they are really great.

  • 8/21/2017 Good find. Too short in fit

    3 Review Stars By Peter

Find work fine. Just the right amount of resistance. But sizing is off. I'm a size 9.5 and got the XL. They are a bit too short. My big toe is up against the front. Still usable.

    Fit: Feels too small

  • 1/8/2015 Best workout swim fins

5 Review Stars By Chris Amps

Make sure you find the right size. Too small, and it will give you cramps like any bad fitting fin will do. It provides just the right resistance for all strokes.

You can feel which of your muscles are working (quads, hamstrings, calves, tibialis) which allows you to concentrate on even and equal leg movements for all stroke kicks. These fins work well with ALL strokes (free, breast, back, fly), by magnifying the feeling of water resistance, which gives you a mechanism for immediate feedback.

After multiple 500 yard intervals, your legs will have had a massively good workout.

  • 8/18/2017 Compact and medium propulsion.

    4 Review Stars By Larry

Just bought these and have used them about 10 times.  They don't have the same power as mormal fins, but they also don't impact the stroke as much.  I bought them primarily for travel, but will use them when I want somewhat less of an assist than my normal fins give me.  Particularly like them for a little assist on butterfly.

  • 10/6/2012 Did not work for me...

    1 Review Stars By Kenc

I am a fitness swimmer averaging 5 miles/wk in a pool. I currently use Aquasphere Alpha fins and like them a lot, but thought I'd try a pair of Finis Positive Drive fins in my quest for new discovery. My foot size is 10-1/2. The PDF's were a little tight on length and way too wide for my usually wider foot. Perhaps a sock would improve things? After a few laps I had to take them off due to their discomfort. And their physical effects seemed intriguing  but I couldn't get past the poor fit for me.

  • 8/10/2017 Good for different strokes

    4 Review Stars By CDancer

I selected this type of fins in order to use it for various strokes when I practice lap swimming. They work well for that. They are easy to take on and off quickly and are pretty comfortable. Sometimes I wear them over fin socks, but not that often, as they get a little tight then. They help me to work on my kicking and to keep my legs level with my body when swimming.

  • 7/5/2013 Awesome product

5 Review Stars By Natalie G.

I have tendinitis in both shoulders, and these fins are great for all around swimming. I can seamlessly kick all four strokes, and they feel great being so light-weight. For breast stroke I can especially feel my legs get a workout more than without them. It took a little messing around with the straps at first to get a perfect fit without it slipping off, but I have no problem with it now. I highly recommend!

FINIS is Latin for "The End" or "Finale", and it signifies in the name of this company both the developmental goals that swimmers have and the end that they strive to reach—the finish line. Founded in 1993, FINIS provides highly technical competition suits, training equipment, child water-safety products and high end goggles. Their very popular SwiMP3 water-proof digital media player is revolutionary in its streamlined design, enabling a swimmer to listen to music while practicing laps and other exercises in the pool.
