    Answer this question
  • How does this Graphlite fabric compare to Dolfin's older LTF fabric?

For the Dolfin Graphlite Solid Racer Swimsuit, the mixture of material makes for a lighter racer as it's half the weight or normal lycra type suits. It also has a compressive fit, which keeps your muscles active while the front lining is light enough to keep you quick during races.

Suit is tight fitting but my last graphlite suit lasted a long time.  The racer doesn't have full coverage on my athletic torso.  Cheeks sneak out.

Sides to narrow not like the other suits I have, the black one was smaller than the blue one. Also there were marks on the suit itself.

    5 Review Stars By Ted

Perfect swim brief for competitive racing. Very fast and lightweight. Provides just the right amount of compression for competition swimming, snug fitting without feeling too tight. The material is kind of unique, very thin yet extremely sturdy and not at all "see-through", and it has just enough stretch to make it comfortable while still providing the right amount of support and compression for competition swimming. There's a partial front liner which is an extremely thin and lightweight material, perfect for providing enough coverage there. (The liner is black for the royal blue suit, and it doesn't show through the suit.) The leg openings are perfectly sized and placed, so there's never any gapping there, and also allows maximum leg movement. The length of the side seams is around two inches, which makes it not overly skimpy, but it still looks stylish and rides at the perfect position along the drawstring of the waist in both the front and back. (Low-riding, but not too low.)

This suit is also extremely comfortable to wear almost anytime for other activities when a swim brief would be worn, other than just for competition swimming. It has an athletic looking fit and appearance, and the cut is both stylish and practical. It's appropriate for beachwear, volleyball, home pool, recreational swimming, etc.

The fit is very true to size, just order the size closest to your actual waist size. If you are in-between sizes, size down for competitive swimming, and probably size up for anything else, depending on how snug you prefer your swim briefs.

This suit's fabric is unique, almost paper-like in how it feels.  It doesn't have much give, so definitely stick to your normal size or go up one, rather than go a size down.  The fit is athletic and feels good in the water.  The drawstring is made of a material that doesn't like to stay tightly tied, which is slightly annoying.  One improvement I would make is a seam down the middle of the back, like in some other Dolfin suits.  I just feel like that makes a suit more streamlined in general, but would make this specific suit feel a bit less loose in the back.  All in all, though, it's a pretty good suit.
