  • 11/24/2020 Like the very low rise

    5 Review Stars By S.

I have several of these from here & the Desoto website. I use them for swim, bike, run practice & events, and yoga classes. Am thin and I prefer the very low rise others complain about. Padding is just right. Newer models have longer inseams than before, but that is ok. The price is increasing so I look for sales & discounts. These are my favorite shorts.

    2 Review Stars By Suni

I am 5'6" 113lbs.  I received a pair of these as a gift about about 4 yrs ago. Size XS and i love them, especially for teaching spin class-i have worn them out so wanted to purchase another pair.  the XS and the S both are TOO small! They have changed the cut they, the picture shows them as low rise but they are extremely Low Low rise(similar to a very teeny bikini bottom. i have returned both pair

    2 Review Stars By Stephanie

These are so low rise that they would put on a show in aero position. I'm pretty short [OPENBRK]5'3"[CLOSEBRK] so I have never had this problem with any Tri shorts from other brands. Otherwise fit seemed normal.

  • 8/4/2019 Very pleased!

    5 Review Stars By Megan

    Sizing was accurate for me.
Used for my first sprint tri.
Padding is thin and I was pleasantly surprised great how great I felt on the bike! Even better than my true bike shorts.
    Dries super fast.

  • 9/20/2018 Cute tri shorts

    5 Review Stars By Jess

I got this for my first sprint tri, and I think it worked well. The padding is thinner than most I think, but it helped during the run because I didn't feel it at all. It could have been better for the bike, but it was only 10 miles so I felt fine afterward. It didn't chafe, ride up, slow me down, or give me a muffin top or muffin thighs (is that a thing?), and it looked cute. I was worried it would be too short, but it was perfect for the bike and also covered the parts of my thighs that touch because I definitely don't have a thigh gap. Also, love the pockets! I can fit so much in them and nothing falls out! All in all, cute, comfy, and exactly what I need.

About This Brand

The founders of De Soto are Emilio De Soto and Dan Neyenhuis. Emilio De Soto is a triathlete who is racing in his 27th consecutive season of triathlon competition. He is also fully immersed in his athletic lifestyle as a fitness trainer and coach. Dan Neyenhuis is an age-grouper triathlete who has been helicopter skiing for 20 years. Together, they created a company that designs cutting edge triathlon gear for triathletes, by triathletes.

De Soto gear is designed to enhance performance in each leg of the race. The founders created the first mesh running cap, zippered tri tops, pocketed tri shorts, transition packs, tri suits, and tri shorts with discreet pads for cycling.

One of their other achievements was creating the De Soto T1 triathlon wetsuit that is two pieces instead of one. The De Soto T1 triathlon wetsuit was designed to make a better fit for triathletes, and each year, more De Soto tri tops and De Soto tri shorts are being added to the line. De Soto is still the only company in the world that makes a two-piece triathlon wetsuit.
