  • 2/14/2012 Largest Swim Mask I Could Find

    3 Review Stars By Fish0177

I swim regularly for fitness and recently became obsessed with finding a goggle that fit COMPLETELY outside of my eye sockets.  This was the largest of the swim masks I could find.  It leaks a little bit and the mechanism for tightening and loosening is not quite as easy to use as the Aquasphere Seal (which was a bit too small to fit completely outside the eye socket).  But, in terms of fitting outside the eye socket, this is the best I could find.

  • 12/23/2015 Better than most, but.........

3 Review Stars By M. Phelps

Like the other Barracuda wire masks I've had, they leak a little but not nearly as much as other brands of similar type swim masks I've tried.  In the end, it depends on the shape & size of your face. For some people this is the perfect mask, and for others the exact opposite. For me it's ok. Just read some reviews and you'll find that to be true for most masks or goggles.

  • 6/23/2012 It should be comfortable, however ..

    2 Review Stars By Dolphin

It should be comfortable as reviewed by other customers. However, for me as Asian, the googles cannot fit tightly on my nose, consequently, water can get in. I wish they made similar googles that fit small nose.

  • 12/17/2015 met expectations...........

3 Review Stars By M Phelps

this used to be a better product because it leaked less. not so much any more, but better than similar swim masks I've tried in the past. not a "ringing endorsement", just my truth. For others who use this it doesn't leak at all if you check out the reviews. in the end it does matter what shape your face has even if the swim mask is supposed to fit the contours of your face. and these masks vary in the way they fit from mask to mask, too. I have 3 of these right now.

  • 9/3/2012 Barracuda Wire Mask - Smoke

    5 Review Stars By Charlie

I now have used the Barracuda mask though this spring and summer. I love it. It's very comfortable, never leaks and I like the large strap. My underwater I-Nano fits perfectly on the strap, would never know it's there. The lenses have held up well, no fading. I swim five days out of a week, doing lap training. I just picked up two more, one clear and the blue. Great product!

  • 10/13/2015 Really nice except for stiff seal

4 Review Stars By AK swim gal

Great field of view. Overall comfortable fit. Biggest problem is stiff seal presses uncomfortably on cheeks (side of nose only, it's okay over cheekbones).

  • 2/27/2012 I like it!

    5 Review Stars By oldkayaker

I have been using it for pool practices for 8 months, but will be using it in open water and triathlons.  It's the most comfortable set of goggles/mask I've ever used; I've worn it through one and half hour practices without removing it once or feeling the need to pull it off.  Of course, I think it has to fit your face; not every face is the same.

  • 1/10/2015 These goggles leak

1 Review Stars By Barracuda Wire Mask leak

These goggles leak. I have old Aqua Spheres that looked about the same and seal nicely. They were getting kind of old so I thought I would replace them. Bad error.
    Very disappointed.

About This Brand

Barracuda

An industry pioneer in innovation and design, Barracuda is passionate about designing and producing products that enhance the swimmer’s experience in the water. From triathletes in Kona and seniors at the YMCA to swim team members grinding through their daily workouts, all rely on the comfort, fit, and effectiveness of Barracuda’s remarkable breakthroughs.

Dr. John Runckel, founder and inventor of Barracuda, began swimming for fitness in 1978. The only swim goggles he could find depended on suction and dug into the soft tissue around the eye. Ordinary suction goggles were — and still are — shaped like small cups with flat rims. They don’t fit nor do they feel good; they leak and leave red circles around the eyes. A dentist and inventor who had marketed a line of dental products, Dr. Runckel combined his knowledge of plastics and facial anatomy with some casting techniques similar to those used in dentistry. The result was a goggle frame that fits because it follows the bone contour around the eye socket. The frame was patented in 1979.

Along with their signature goggles, Barracuda provides the very best is swim, pool, and beach accessories that strive to make your time in the water the best it can be.
