  • 7/3/2015 Water got in while snorkeling. Canon Camera now uuseless

1 Review Stars By FRAN F.

Went snorkeling - first time using case with my canon powershot SD1200 IS Digital Elph.  Estimate price as it is not new approximately $150.  Purposely used small older camera.  Owner of a local dive shop checked to make sure I had the case securely closed prior to use.  Unfortunately when I went to use it and it was only under two or three feet of water, the case was filled with water which distroyed my camera, card, and now have useless case that did not meet requirement of how the case was advertised.

  • 2/5/2010 Works but...

5 Review Stars By Michael R.

The bag works as advertised.  But, getting good underwater pictures is not easy - the lower light conditions may require a longer exposure and it may be difficult to hold the camera steady, especially in the ocean.  So pictures may end up blurry.

I  bought this AquaPac  to keep a GPS Heart Rate monitor watch dry while I swim.  I needed the clear portion so I can read the watch dial.  For this purpose it works great. I put the strap around my neck and the pack on my back while I swim.

ABOUT THIS BRAND

AquaPac

AquaPac was founded back in 1983 in London, where they still have their headquarters. It started with three friends chatting in the pub and, so the story goes, one of them said, “Hey guys, wouldn't it be cool if you could listen to a SONY Walkman while windsurfing?” Well they all agreed that it would, so the very next day, they set about creating a waterproof housing that would make it possible.

Their first creation - the Aquaman - was not the most elegant-looking product. But it worked, and that's what mattered most. That led on to the AQ2, a case for handheld VHF radios as used by yachtsmen all over the world.

And then some bright invented the mobile phone. So AquaPac became the first company in the world to design and sell waterproof phone cases.

AquaPac has sold over 5 million waterproof bags and cases since then. Their ever-growing range sells in more than 60 countries. They’ve been honored with three Queen’s Awards.
