I live on the island of Grenada in the West Indies. Over 90% of Grenadians cannot swim. 5 years ago I started teaching learn-to-swim and as they developed we started a swim team. We have almost 100 swimmers on the team now and another 100 in learn-to-swim. We do not charge the locals for lessons. I have been buying equipment for our team Grenada Youth Adventurers for those 5 years and getting friends to bring the equipment over when they come to visit. Last year my team GYA spearheaded an initiative over the Easter break to teach over 500 people how to swim at no cost. We did this with over 100 volunteers. You can see more about it at

I just placed a large order to help with this year's National Learn to Swim Week because we are doing it again. What we need most is goggles because none of the kids we teach have them. We did order 48 googles and 42 kickboards to use at 12 venues we will have this year. It would be an awesome surprise to have extra googles and kickboards sent to support our event and used for years to come. We love because of the quality and the good pricing we always get on team sales. We hope you will consider helping us teach these kids to swim!

All the best,

Deb Eastwood,
Director GYA and Head Coach

Lol I forgot to mention. STAC is a fairly new team, 2 years old. Since I am a HS sophomore, I am planning to stick with STAC for as long as I can this is because the coach is very understanding and try's to help you with your stroke to the best of his ability. His favorite word to use for "the key to success" is to be Consistent. What he means is if you come to practice 6 days a week, you will get more out than if you go 2x a week

I have been swimming since 2008. At first I was a part of swimmer and winter league, but nowadays I siwm year round. It is hard to keep track of all the teams that I have been on I've moved around that much! My summer teams were Lenape in Montgomery NJ, LSA in lawrenceville NJ, and Hillborough Hurricanes, from Hillborough NJ. The winter team was Montgomery Marlins in Montgomery NJ. My first year round team was Pennington Aquatics in Pennington NJ. Nowadays I'm on my high school team, Montgomery Cougars in Montgomery NJ, and my club team is StreamLine Aquatic Club in Branchburg NJ. I am planning to do STAC for the summer LCM not SCY. All of the coaches I have met have such a great passion for swimming, and that is what I love about it. No matter where you go, there is always someone with a huge passion for the sport.

Swimming is an excellent opportunity for all ages and levels of swimmers. My son is both a high school swimmer and a club swimmer, and when competing, the swimmers who compete USA are certainly the most recognizable. Since my son began swimming, I have ventured to become an official. Would love to have our little team receive a big surprise!!

My daughter is on 2 different swim teams (high school & summer league) and was on 3 last year (Gulf Swimming team), and the teams would really love to be able to sponsor one of the swim camps, but didn't know how to raise the money for it. She is the Captain and MVP of her high school team, but since she is a senior this year, she will most likely retire at the end of the summer season. She is planning on going out with a bang!

It would awesome for our swimmers in our small town to get this opportunity. My husband and I took over the team last year and are striving for big things. All 3 of our children are on the team and our oldest son who will 14 this month wants to be an Olympic swimmer. We would all benefit greatly from and experience like this. Thank you.

Blue Wave Swimming in Brandon Florida has had Olympic representation in the past (Brooke Bennett for swimming and Chris Colwill for diving). The coaches and swimmers there now would love to rise to this level again. There is some great talent and potential on the team now, they could all benefit from the inspiration a visit like this would bring. Thank you Swim Outlet for sponsoring opportunities like this!

When my son joined this college team as a freshman, they had a decent pool and a part time coach. This team has grown from 8 "young men to 19. The girls team has had to this point an undefeated season. They are a special group of young adults who work together to accomplish together. They ran a blood drive last year and are trying to fund raise for their first ever training trip to Florida in January. An unexpected visit from a role model would inspire them even more. They are supportive of one another, their community, and will touch the world , not just in the water ,but in every wake of life.

I am 13 and swim for North Channel Aquatics. We have a small team compared to other teams we compete against. I have never been late to practice and missed about 3 practices since swimming for 3 years. I have big dreams to be an Olympian I take swimming seriously and would love to have an Olmpian visit.

I am masters swimmer and i coach a local high school! Since taking over the team our numbers are up and we finished 2nd in our league (girls) 3rd overall! The kids have found a sport that brings out the best in them, every season i love to see how excited they are to compete each season. They invigorate me in my masters team, both teams are up and coming and it would be great to meet some champions to make that our next reality!!!! Our swim team was going to fold, 2 years ago. It is a team that is run solely by volunteer parents. I took over las tear so that our kids would be able to have their summer swim program continue. We fund raise like crazy, doing concessions for basketball games in the winter, car washes in the summer, we have our annual swim-a-thin which we started last year. However, we are still struggling to get this team heading in the upward direction. We can only swim two months out of the year, as we have no indoor facility in our county. Many parents don't have the funds to drive their children to the surrounding counties facilities. We have gained community sponsors these last two years who have been awesome! We were able to purchase two diving blocks and this year we were ab;e to get a lane rope reel with cover and some fins and snorkels to help our kids. However, we are still trying to do what we can with these kiddos who have such potential, to make them better! Our team could benefit so much from anything the swim outlet could provide, including some encouraging words from an Olympian. Clair Donahue is from the next county over and is such a great role model for our youth, as are many of our Olympic swimmers. I love that your company is doing such an amazing thing as this for your customers and their teams! Even if we don't get selected, it is wonderful to see the videos of the teams that do get a visit and supplies they need. God is good and will provide for our team in the way he sees fit. We will keep fundraising to get ourselves an indoor facility and equipment to the best of our abilities, though a visit like this would be icing on the cake! thank you swim outlet for all you do for the kids!

I am the aquatic director of a YMCA in rural northwestern PA. We do not live close to any major cities so it is hard for most of our swimmers to get extra help through a camp or clinic. Our season runs from mid-Sept through the end of Feb. We have 2 great coaches, plus a volunteer coach. We are trying to update our equipment, but it takes awhile & our scoreboards are very bad looking. Any help would be greatly be appreciated.

The Dolphins Swim Team was formally associated with YMCA. In 2010, the Albuquerque branch of the YMCA of New Mexico decided it no longer wanted to support a swim team at the Mountainside facility. This had been the home of The Dolphins Swim Team for 27 years. The move was both surprising and heartbreaking for all the families that had been active participants in that program for many years. Rather than disperse or merge with other teams, the Dolphins decided that they would strive to maintain their own team and find a new place to call home. With the help and support of dozens of committed swimmers, coaches and parents, this team has stayed together, year after year.

The first three years of our post-YMCA existence, the Dolphins were virtual nomads, roaming from pool to pool, looking for a place to swim and call home. Through it all, our members remained loyal, and each year we had a strong showing in both the New Mexico Games and the Sundance League Finals.

Two years ago, we found a new home at the Kirtland Aquatic Center, at Kirtland Air Force Base. It was a beautiful facility, with a wonderful and welcoming staff. However, the location of the facility presented an on-going challenge to our non-military families. They had to gain access to the military base in order to participate, and in this era of heightened security, that challenge became an ever more difficult obstacle to overcome. As a result, we moved our practice facility to the Olympic pool at University of New Mexico. This, too, is a beautiful facility and we are hoping to make it our permanent home.

The Dolphins have struggled to survive, retaining a core of committed swimmers, coaches, and parents. With their help we have maintained a strong team, and placed second at the team portion of the New Mexico Games in 2014. We are thriving, despite all obstacles and trials!

I am the mom of an ambious 13 year old swimmer on a team of 146 ambious swimmers. This is the second USA swim team with which my son has participated and I could not be more excited for him.

The team has 2 coaches, one of which has been coaching this team for over 25 year and the other for over 7 years. These two coaches are so dedicated to teach these kids to not only prepare their bodies to be athletes (starting with yoga at the beginning of each practice and meet as well as teaching good nutrition) but also preparing them for being excellent members of society (through volunteer work and reminding them that homework comes first).

The Coeur D'Alene Area Swim Team works hard and the coaches work even harder! It would be a great honor to have a surprise visit from Ryan Lochte and would help inspire these youth to strive for their own greatness!! Thank you for this awsome program.

Hi, I am swim mom of 2 girls who swim for the Hickam Hurricanes on Hickam Air Force Hawaii. In the last year we have had 4 different head coaches and too many assistant coaches to count. We have a head coach now that really cares about the kids and is doing her best to build the team back up to what it was before all the change. With all the coaching changes we lost alot of swimmers and our team has gone through alot of changes. We swim at a pool on base that has alot of issues and when we bring it up to the people in charge they tell us it is not a priority. A visit from an Olympic swimmer would show them that our kids are a prioritY and would be a great booster for our kids. Our head coach is Jolena Adams and she does alot for our little team, we are a USA swim club and are doing our best to build it back up. Thanks for reading and keep swimming!

I started swimming two years ago. All I can say that it has changed my life. I don't know what I would do without it. I am twelve years old and have had 18 junior Olympic cuts a 1 zone. I push myself and my team everyday to do our best. I swim for O.H.Y.A, Oak Hills Youth Athletics. We have over 70 kids on the team with four coaches. The head coach in Sean Caroll, the other three coaches are Brad Heines, Sandy Caroll, and Laura. We swim at Oak Hills high school and we are a U.S.A team. I hope you get a chance to read this. Swimming is my life and I'm glad I have it there.

I am A swim parent from holyoke Massachusetts. Our team has grown and has become quite competitive nationally. Our team would really benefit from an Olympian coming in and talking to our kids. They listen and take all comments to the pool. Live USA Swimming and all swimming stands for. Go USA!!!!!

My son and daughter (18 and 15) have been swimming for the Buenaventura Swim Club for the past 5 to 6 years now. Jason York, our head coach has taken this team from the bare bones to a high quality, competitive team. I have told him, "If you build it, they will come," for some time now. And build it he has. And up and coming they are. For the kids who work hard two to three times a day, and the kids that are on their way up the swim ladder, what a joy and honor this would be. Bring it on Swim Outlet!!

I am a parent board member of the Bexley Marlins Swim Team! Our team underwent a complete restructuring this year with new coaches, several new parent board members, a new logo and many new swimmers! This year we have 157 team members!!! All of our swimmers are giving it their all this summer and are working hard to improve their strokes and times all while still having lots of fun with their friends! We want kids to have fun swimming so they will continue to swim. It is a fantastic sport!!! The team even embraces community service with a fun meet that benefits a local charitable effort in memory of a former swim team member. Our team would be so inspiredl by a visit!

The Andrew & Walter Young YMCA, USA swim and triathlon competitors are an inner city youth team out of Atlanta, GA. Our athletes are beating the odds and embracing "Diversity in Aquatics". Our coach, Kraig Jennings, has taken these athletes to a new level in competitive swim. Meeting a swim Olympian is only a dream for these athletes who are driven, eager and successful in all things competitive swim. Make us your choice, it will be a great day for both the swimmers and the Olympian!

My kids swim with Forest Area Swim Team ages 8 and 10. This is their fifth year swimming with the team. We have a lot of dedicated swimmers on the team. We could use some inspiration from Ryan Lochte or any other Olympian who would like to visit the area. We have close to 100 kids participating on the team this year and this would be such a special treat for them.
