Blucore was founded in 2013, with the aim of producing intelligent products for the intelligent swimmer. On January 1st, 2010, bodysuits were banned from use in swimming competition. This inspired designers at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia to explore the performance-enhancing effects of these suits, and create a solution for swimmers who had suffered in their absence. The result of this process was the Corsuit.
bluebox, the innovation transfer wing of QUT, then adopted the project for advanced prototyping and commercialisation. The Corsuit underwent extensive trialling with elite squads in Australia, USA, Great Britain and China, and the design was iteratively refined to suit the shapes, sizes and needs of a range of swimmers. bluebox remains involved with Blucore in an advisory role, using their expertise in research and commercialisation to guide our innovation.
Blucore is continuing to develop innovative products for swimming, addressing relevant challenges faced by swimmers on a daily basis. And on that note, we welcome your feedback and suggestions! If you?re an intelligent swimmer with a problem that needs solving, or a solution of your own, feel free to contact us.
