U.S. Masters Swimming Club of the Month - March

SwimOutlet.com is proud of its partnership with U.S. Masters Swimming and carries a full line of U.S. Masters Swimming products from training accessories to swim gear. Each month, we look forward to highlighting some of the great swimming clubs across the U.S. that feature Masters teams for all types of swimmers. This months’ team comes from Arizona with the Lifetime Swim Palm Valley.

SwimOutlet.com features a full-service team division that offers customization and bulk order discounts. We also have a team affiliate program that allows teams to set up their own online store to earn cash back for their team or club.

Club Name: Lifetime Swim Palm Valley

    Hometown: Goodyear, AZ

    Members: 50 members

Facility Description: one indoor and one outdoor 25 meter competition pool; indoor recreational pool

    Registered USMS Program since: 2013

2014 Head Coach: Head Coach Bill Downey

    Oldest Swimmer: 76

    Youngest swimmer: 27

Fun Team Fact? Our Masters Team has an “entry level” group, which began after we had a very positive response in the club from our Adult Learn to Swim Clinics we held last spring. Out of the nearly 60 participants in the clinics, seven were interested enough to join a special masters group and began a series of lessons which now after one year have grown into workouts. We have also increased the size of the group to 19, and one of those “beginners” who started with us 6 months ago, swam in her first Masters meet last week at the Sun Devil Masters Sprinters Spectacular held at the Arizona State facility on March 15. This is in addition to the overall growth of the regular program this past year. It’s really been an exciting time for all!
