  • 2/7/2018 A must for the distance swimmer

    5 Review Stars By DC

Been using one of these counters for years now.  My first one got left in the locker room to never be seen again.  My second one last about 5 years until the band broke but this new one is the best one yet.  The counter button is improved on them knowing for sure that lap was counted.  I like this new one very much it is the best one yet.  If your swimming 40, 50, 60 laps or more you need this little gadget to count your laps for you.  Trying to count laps without one is impossible, you can never remember which lap your on.  Your mind wonders to much when your swimming.  Get one and relax while your swimming and let that little counter keep track of your laps for you.  You will love it, no doubt about it.  You can also keep track of your time and see how well your swimming is improving each time you swim.  I been swimming all my life, swim to stay fit, swim to life.  I love to swim.

  • 11/8/2012 Compact, Rugged & Practical Device

    5 Review Stars By bitmechanic

I swim 45 laps, six times a week. I've used this specific model for many years. Each unit lasts about a year before malfunctioning, which seems reasonable, given the wear & tear and harsh conditions. I click once at the end of each lap. The readout automatically shows the lap number, followed immediately by the lap time, then reverts to a running-count of total elapsed time. At the end of the workout, I click once to record the lap, then press and hold to stop the timer. Only issue is that the click is not always crisp, so it is sometimes hard to tell if the click registered. In truth, clicks rarely fail to register, but a more pronounced click would be reassuring. Also, there is no backlighting, so it is hard to read under very low light, but under normal conditions, it is easy to read. Highly recommended!

  • 1/27/2018 Great for tracking laps and total time swimming

    5 Review Stars By DC

I have had 3 of these neat little lap trackers and it's a must have for the serious swimmer.  I left my first one I had in the locker room at the pool in a case with my goggles, never to be found or returned.  My second one I had for over 5 years and while I was not swimming for a year it still worked fine when I got back in the pool.  The strap finally gave out and I figured it was time for a new one.  This new one is a more improved model than the older ones I had.  The switch that counts the laps has a much better feel to it when depressing the button that counts the lap when you click it at the end of your lap.  You know for sure that lap was counted, the older models I used sometimes made me wonder if I press the button ok to count that lap.  The feel of it was not that good.  This new one I bought, there's no question about it, the feel of the counter is great.  I have been swimming all my life since I was a kid and this is a must needed devise to track your laps as the mine wanders to much when your swimming laps and you can never keep track of your laps.  When your swimming 40, 60 or more laps every week you need to have a counter, it's a piece of mine, you just need to remember to click it at the wall as you complete your lap.  I recommend this product to all serious swimmers, don't swim without one.  Enjoy your swim and stay fit.  Train, train for life.   61 and still swimming.  I Love to swim.

  • 8/3/2015 Good for distance swimming

    5 Review Stars By Swimguy

Functional unit, this is part of my daily swim gear. I've purchased 2 so far after losing the first one; current one has been in use for a bit over 2 years, average 60-70 minute daily swim (I skip some days, swim 2x other days). I use this partially to keep time as distance per minute is pretty constant given my daily swims; haven't had problems with pushing the button hard enough for it to register, although sometimes I "zone out" and need to confirm that I've clicked the counter button by checking the time on the next lap (if it's around 2x normal time, I click the button again to "correct' the number of laps. Simple, straightforward, functional unit. I'd recommend it to any long distance swimmers to help track time/distance on workouts.

I'm looking at replacing it fairly soon as the plastic is starting to wear out, the way that the unit adjusts is for nubs on the band to fit into holes on the other side, and the first nub or two are starting to appear less stable than initially.

The functions on this unit are: total time, count of "laps", average time per lap, time for final lap. After each click, the unit registers the count of that lap, and then the time between the last "click" and the current "click" (time of the most recent lap completed)

  • 12/29/2017 Good product. using it few times a week with no issue.

I use this product as counter. when clicking at end of lap, the "counted" number can be bigger and in the middle of the display without blinking (in oppose to  2/3 of the display height and on the right side and blinking).
This will help to those who needs reading glasses to read clearly the counts.

  • 3/5/2016 Almost Perfect

4 Review Stars By Peter O

Although I do love this lap counter, I wish that I had bought the RED model.  I seem to mis-press the button at least once during my swim so it doesn't record the lap (never had a problem with accidentally hitting the button and recording too many laps).  At the end of the session you can review your average, fastest and slowest laps.  So if my slowest is around twice the average, I must have mis-pressed and I just add one lap to the total.  But if I mis-pressed more than once then there's no way of knowing.  Since the RED model records EVERY lap, it's easier to know how many times you may have mis-pressed the button and can adjust the total accordingly.  Obviously, the screen is so small that you are really not going to see it during your swim.  The RED model would be perfect if (since the body is made of clear plastic) the whole thing lit up with LED lighting for say two seconds after the button was pressed to give a visual confirmation.  Also, nobody is going to do a lap in 5 seconds so the button should not register a second press within that period.  So if you think that you didn't press the button properly then you could just press it again to be sure without recording another lap.  These small improvements would, in my opinion, make this the perfect lap counter for swimming (and many other sports).

  • 10/13/2015 So far, so good

    5 Review Stars By JPG

I have used this once but love it. I can finally just concentrate on swimming instead of counting laps. Agree with other reviewers that a more audible click or feeling would be better. But, not a deal breaker.

  • 4/25/2017 Does the job!

    5 Review Stars By Penny

I use it on my right pointer finger - easy to click and mark my laps (as a person who always loses count,  it's important!). I have small hands so the adjustability is important. I've had 3 over the years. I have tried changing batteries, but it seems to compromise air tightness of the timer - the jeweler didn't recommend it. Still, the last one held up 3 years or so on original battery.

  • 9/14/2014 Push button could be better

4 Review Stars By Vincent W.

Works as advertised, good read out, but button could be easier to push. Sometimes I think I pushed the count button, but instead not hard enough. A click should be felt after each push.
