Whistle is a bit shrill for our pool-I put it on my PFD for river use.
Comfort Mouthpeice is GREAT!this whistle is really loud... do not use it indoors!

This is a wonderful whistle! Not only is it comfortable in your mouth, it is ear-ringingly loud. It is true that you cannot over-blow. The only real disadvantage (if you would call it that) is that it cannot be blown quietly like some whistles with beads. It's either loud or louder, which is great for my lifeguard duties but may not be for others.
I only use Fox40's when officiating volleyball. The CMG guard is an added bonus regarding comfort!
