I swim laps thirty to forty hours a week. After earlier ordering a different style Ocean Conservative lap suit, which I love, I ordered this one but unfortunately followed other's advise to get a larger size. Not a good idea. I should have stayed with an 8, for there was an appreciable difference. Otherwise it's a nice suit--nice material, comfortable, not bad looking and a good back-up suit.
I ordered according to my measurements, but this suit is just slightly too big. I decided to keep it because I thought a size smaller would be too small. The straps in the back are not quite as wide as I'd expected, and they tend to roll a little bit and not lie flat. The material has stood up to chlorine well so far. I love the bright blue color and the feel of the fabric.
Very pleased about the fit and style!
I read the reviews about it fitting on the small side, so I ordered a size up. It fits perfect and is very pretty!
After wearing nylon suits for years, and having them fade and stretch out, I decided to try a polyester suit in hopes that it would hold up better. I bought this suit 8 months ago and use it to swim in a chlorinated pool 2-3 times per week. It has yet to fade or get stretched out. I did get one size larger since people were saying that they run small. It's a different fabric so it does not stretch in the same way that nylon suits do. Polyester suits are the way to go for chlorinated pools.
Nice fitting suit, however I had a very hard time guessing about the fit, trying to decide between the conservative fit and moderate. Which provides more coverage? Which provides less? I ordered one of each and it turns out that the Conservative suit has a normal height neckline and scoop back; the Moderate has a high neckline - like a crew neck shirt - and a lower scoop back. Regarding the sizes - I wear size 4 or 6 clothing, and needed a size 10 suit. The soft cups are not a good fit for me as I don't fill them so I won't keep it; but I really wanted to buy a chlorine-resistant suit as I've had a terrible time with suits, including a Speedo Ultraback, fading after wearing just 3-5 times in a warm exercise pool.
