From the description we thought the entire lower part (black) of the backpack would be waterproof. Be aware - only the actual bottom surface (approx. 12"x12" square) is waterproof-type material.
I use this daily for regular gym activity- not swimming. It's roomy but fits in a standard gym locker. I had a shoulder injury and needed a backpack style. Docked one Star for the U-shaped zipper at the front - it feels like it'll jam easily, it's difficult to advance. Overall, very satisfied, though.
This pack is used by my teenage son every day for swim team. He likes that there are several pockets accessible from the top, not just one like in his old swim backpack. He also likes the fact that the bottom wet storage pocket does not have a netted front. There is a net bag for his wet suit, but the net bag is inside the zippered solid-front compartment on the bottom of the bag. He also says it's easier to put into lockers even though the dimensions are similar to his old pack.I'm concerned about the fabric of the bag. It doesn't seem as thick or heavy duty as his old pack and I wonder if it will take the constant use/abuse the bag gets.
big roomy, yet compact the different compartment is a great idea for storage of personal idems. I would recommend this to any looking for a roomy yet compact backpack
The bag looked more boyish than my daughter wanted. Having used the Speedo bag, this one didn't seem as easy to open up. The top didn't open up wide enough to put everything in easliy.
Good sized bag, great colors. Be careful with the zippers... It seems every swim bag no matter what the brand has trouble with the zippers and fabric around it breaking. This one seems to last a bit longer than other brands.
