I found lots of ways to use the sqoodle for exercise, and my grandkids love to hang on to float around too.
The name may be unusual but the product rocks! It has become an integral part of my aquasize routine as a resistance bar to work the upper arms, as a front and side leg lift and especially as a water bicycle. I find the Sqoodle sufficiently buoyant - even for a larger person. I've used a regular noodle and find the square shape more sturdy and substantial. If I could change one thing, it would be to make the Sqoodle more flexible so that it could bend around the waist or leg.
I am disabled and weigh 350 lbs and this noodle holds me up! I would have to use two or more of the regular noodles to do the same (which of course is also awkward and doesn't work very well). Others in my aqua-therapy class have wanted to know where I got my heavy duty noodle so they could purchase their own. I'm not much of a swimmer, but having this noodle gives me enough sense of security to get in a good workout. Love it!
I am a 6' 4" male and attend 2 to 3 water aerobic classes a week. The smaller round noodles from the discount stores are great for kids playing in the pool, but the Aquajogger is what is needed for serious water exercise. This is a piece of solid exercise equipment and not a pool toy.
I was under the impression that these noodles were very bouyant, but they are not. I teach a water fitness class and had several people try them out. No one was crazy about them. I wished I hadn't purchased so many of them and had bought a more bouyant noodle. I'm sure they will work fine for simple recreational pleasure, but not for a fitness workout. Thx!
