Based on previous reviews, I decided to play safe and got a size 26 for my 4''8", 75lb daughter (same size as her practice suit). It fits very nice and tight when she tried it on at home, took less than 2 min to put on. However, the suit became loose once she got into water, and she was not able to get the benefits of tight compression. Since I can''t return the suit now, I will have to purchase a 24 for her and save the 26 for future use when she gets bigger. The suit fits young swimmers'' body so well that it’s hard for any water to get into the suit. In order to get all the benefit this suit offers, I suggest go down at least one size compare to your practice suit to get a tight fit in the water (the size chart for FSII measurement is very accurate for a tight fit in this suit).

Best Non-adult Racing Suit We''ve Found |

The sizing chart is not helpful but customer service can help you find the truly appropriate size. The downward arrows of a new suit eventually fade away. (See photo.) But this supposedly short-life suit has endured about 60 racing events with no fading, no apparent size change, no seam unravelling, no rips or tears, no loss of elasticity. It is punishing to wear for up to 12 hours at a stretch (which our daughter must often do). The suit digs into the shoulders and back if it''s a proper fit. Speedo probably expects swimmers to immediately remove it after a race. But if you are swimming six events per day, that''s not very practical. This is our second purchase of this suit but nothing is wrong with the first one, just too many Speedo competitors ALMOST copy the red-black design so it can be hard to see which swimmer is your kid. So we got the unpopular green. Free 1-day delivery was free but far from one day. Overall, only good things to say about this suit and our buying experience.

We returned the item because my daughter underestimated her size. We have bought Fastskins before and they really slice some time off!

The best youth technical suit out there. We have tried three technical suits ( jammers included) and this one is awesome. A little tight so we got size 26 instead of 24 which my daughter usually wears. Extremely light, I would say 1/3 lighter than her normal practice suit and does not absorb water like normal suits, thus reducing the drag. Expensive for a little girl but well worth it

I ordered this suit for both of my girls for state champs. They should be very tight! I only ordered them a size down but some kids were wearing them several sizes down. They dropped time in everything.....not sure if it was the suit or if it was just being motivated by having them. My experience with swimoutlet was fantastic! I will definitley be ordering swim gear from them going forward!
