I got the cap to wear during my water aerobics class. I don't mind getting my hair wet as much as some people so that isn't really what I was looking for in a cap. This one does an excellent job of it, though. Mostly I don't want to damage my hair and scalp. So it was a protection thing for me. I did a little research online about which material is best for keeping the hair dry and for being something you don't rip easily. I read positive things about silicone so I went with this one. So far so good! I wear glasses and it was hard when I first tried to wear them with this cap. I tried doing it without glasses and that was just miserable----I couldn't see a thing! Then I tried it WITH my glasses and I had to fold/ scoot it up over my ears to wear the two comfortably. I don't know if there is a better solution but so far this is working for me! I also hate things with logos on them so this cap is good in that aspect. The logo really looks big in the picture but in person it isn't such a sore thumb!
I bought this cap because my other (ClubSwim) silicone cap kept sliding up and feeling like it was going to fall off, and my hair would hang out the back, even if tied up. I've had no problems with this one so far...it seems to be the same cut/style but for some reason it stays on better. The white is kind of pearly which is cool!
I've taught swimming for 35 years and this is the best cap I've found. Very stretchy so will fit most heads & people with long hair... from 1st graders to adults.
