Disruptive, not educational. Kept pinching my forearms, and slipping off my fingers. So they felt too small around the forearm, too short from forearm to fingers.I didn't use them for long.
Great product
The Finis Forearm Fulcrum is a good product for limited use to help swimmers use a high elbow catch, or early vertical forearm (EVF). I bought it thinking I would use it more for freestyle, but I think it is actually easier to use and more helpful for breaststroke. For the price, it's a good product to use on a limited basis.
Next race will be the real test, but these have definitely made me correct the stroke on my left side. Apparently I was okay on the right side. It really did not feel like I had anything on the right side, but the left side was really noticeably different. I am also making it across the pool with fewer strokes now.
It didn't take too long to get used to these on my forearms and within about 4 laps (100m) I had a much better feel of my arm entry through the catch and pull. I didn't think these were disruptive of my stroke and I found myself beginning to quickly swim faster as I had correct technique.Furthermore, after taking them off and doing laps w/out the fulcrum paddles, the correct positioned was engrained into my stroke. I will continue to use these with every swim session to get that muscle memory of the right arm position. These are great as I hate doing other drills to develop and maintain my stroke and arm entry. I just like getting in the pool and swimming.
I've used this for my training and it is great.
