It didn't take too long to get used to these on my forearms and within about 4 laps (100m) I had a much better feel of my arm entry through the catch and pull. I didn't think these were disruptive of my stroke and I found myself beginning to quickly swim faster as I had correct technique.Furthermore, after taking them off and doing laps w/out the fulcrum paddles, the correct positioned was engrained into my stroke. I will continue to use these with every swim session to get that muscle memory of the right arm position. These are great as I hate doing other drills to develop and maintain my stroke and arm entry. I just like getting in the pool and swimming.
I've used this for my training and it is great.
1. Helps keep elbow high. Would however like a longer version as I feel it would keep elbow a bit higher.2. Small instructional diagram on inside of paddle. Would like to see better visual aid for proper use.3. Recommended by fellow triathlete and would generally recommend for those working on technique.
Great at positioning high elbows - can be a bit awkward with extended laps
My daughter's coach recommended we buy this paddle. My daughter has a tenancy to reach over her head in backstroke too far. This causes her not to get the right pull. This paddle helps to place her arms correctly and stroke right. With practice she will get the feel and be able to do it with out the paddles in competition.
I had a problem with bending my wrist during the swimming pull. This tool corrected it. Also great for helping to make sure you pull with entire forearm during your stroke.
