The Finis Forearm Fulcrum paddle improves the efficiency of a swimmer's stroke by holding the wrist, elbow, and shoulder at the optimal position while focusing on technique development. The Finis Forearm Fulcrum paddle is designed to complement paddles, by improving the stroke technique across swimmers of all levels, but particularly in unskilled swimmers.
Paddle has two closed sections, one of the sections fits around the forearm, with the swimmer placing their hand in the other closed section The process of placing their hand through the two sections creates an ideal elbow/wrist angle during the phase of stroke initiation The act of creating this angle corrects the stroke technique of the user by teaching 'muscle memory' Please note that each order will come with 2 paddles

As a coach and personal trainer, I have used these on swimmers who cannot for the life of them raise their elbows. I don't suggest using them for long distances but they are an eye opener for those who have trouble with their elbows. They are cheap and I highly recommend them!

I ordered the larger size. My sleeve length is 35 inches. I can fit my four fingers but not my thumb through the lower ring of the brace. I swim okay with my thumbs on the outside though. These help most after doing a few laps in them and then taking them off. Once the braces are removed from your forearms, I really can feel the difference in my stroke of the water hitting my forearms and keeping my elbows up.

Not sure about the size thing. I was interested in the tool to get into the right arm position. I swam internationally many years ago and things have changed a lot since my training days.
I am always open to improving and looking at new techniques. I have to say I did not like this tool. It was so uncomfortable and worked against my natural stroke. I had my technique analyzed with the tool and it did not work for me. However in saying this colleagues who had not trained at my level loved the tool... that's why I gave it 3 stars.
If you have a lazy entry, and drop your arm under the water before you hit the catch (your anchoring point) this might work for you

I have had 2 rotator cuff surgeries and have struggled with tendinitis and inflammation in my shoulder and elbow due to incorrect swimming techniques (I was a water polo player for 8 years). FF helps me with correct catch and pull, and I have continued to use this product while extending my mileage in the pool. For me, it has benefited my stroke and I no longer deal with the shoulder/elbow pain I once had.

I am concerned about injuring my "rotator cuff" through an incorrect Freestyle stroke. I consulted "swimsmooth.com" and they recommend the Finis Forearm Fulcrum Paddles. As a designer, I believe great product design is a marriage of Form and Function into simple elegance. That is the Finis Forearm Fulcrum Paddles. I am alternating every second lap with these paddles. My speed, control and breathing has improved. I am gaining confidence as my feel for the water/stroke is improving. I have the bone structure of a small man and the adult size fits perfectly. My only difficulty is at the end of each lap since I haven't learned "the turn." Wearing these paddles makes grabbing the "pool lip" a strain for the forearm/finger. I simply adjusted my turn to avoid this discomfort. On Facebook, I have a link to Swim Outlet. Their Customer Service and product delivery has been A+. Don't hesitate - buy these paddles today from Swim Outlet.
