Love this fin in the water and light to lug around. I wear a 7.5 womens shoe so an XS would have been more appropriate. I ordered S based on charts, which works fine but they are roomy.

Just wanted to add a note about the sizing, as I always appreciate that info from the other reviewers... I am a female, who usually wears 7.5 shoes. According to the sizing chart, I would be size S, but because there was a reviewer who said it was too big, I went with XS. They are still just slightly too big. It's not a problem as they are very soft and don't rub.

I used Zoomers for years, despite all the pains and scrapes and everything. I thought I loved them. Until now. Aqua Sphere don't hurt, correct my form by lifting my feet (I actually feel that my feet are at the surface because I feel the air on my heels!!), and give me a great workout -- try underwater dolphin with these! Because it's so fast, I finish my workout in shorter time... I should increase my lap count now. Great job Aqua Sphere!!

the foam wants to rise rise rise. and fighting fighting fighting to even keep my legs/feet level with the water line led to disabling back pain, not fitness. plus, it was impossible to stop and tread water/look around the lovely lake, because, again, the foam just wants to rise rise rise. i almost look forward now to lugging around my zoomers.

As the designer of the Alpha Fin, I am happy to see such positive reviews and would like to offer advice to the few who have had problems with the heel strap breaking.
You want a snug fit to translate all of your power, but this also means that you need to take care putting them on to not stretch or snap the heel strap. It is best to put them on in the water by stuffing your foot in first then pulling the sides on and finally pulling the strap over your heel. If you pull them on dry and only pull the strap, they will stretch out and not fit as well. This foam will compression set, so the more you wear them, the more they will fit to your feet.
Keep swimming and enjoying your Alphas!
