The  bar is great for my 7 year old to learn how to swim and gives her the confidence that she can do it!
But we first got it and it was broken so getting a new one re-shipped was a bit frustrating for my daughter and having to wait another week for it.

Useful piece of equipment if you know what exercises to train with it. It is the one piece of bouyancy gear I will use with my classes. Very effective. Wish it was about an inch or two longer than it is.

I first saw this product used by the swimming school my three year-old daughter began attending.  The reason I liked this product is because she could hold on to it or wrap her arms over the bar and feel like she was "swimming" on her own without a vest or "floaties" around her arms.  The confidence she gained has allowed her to be somwhat more daring than she otherwise might have been.  That's a little stressful at times (sometimes I want her to be a *little* more careful!) but she is already much more comfortable in the water without a vest or floaties than her peers.

I have been using this particular float at the YMCA for 9 years. I have also used several other brands there.None compare to the overall feel and quality of these floats. They are the longest lasting, the others start falling apart in weeks, these have been in service years.They get used all day, every day @ the Y. I bought my own for use in my pool. for deep water running .
