The rashguard I recently purchased was perfect for my needs. I am an avid snorkeler, and on a recent trip to Belize, I lived in the water. At certain times of the year, you unexpectedly run into jellyfish which are sometimes hard to see before it''s too late, having that extra measure of protection is comforting. The Caribbean is very comfortable to the bare skin, but even with the shirt, it felt great. Not hot or confining. The last one I bought was a little too tight, so I opted for a 2XL this time, just depends on the brand. The mistake I made was buying the white. In and out of the boat, you tend to brush into things, it shows dirt. Over all, good product.

I normally wear a men''s small, and the medium sized rash guard fits very well. The sleeve length is nice, although I think I would have preferred long sleeves. There is an elastic loop right in the front for keys, which is very useful.

I''d definitely not recommend the white color; it gets dirty rather easily (picking up a sandy child), and in the 70''s weather in Hawaii in the winter, a little extra warmth from the dark color would be nice.

Fits well and will do good surfing and snorkeling.

Use it to swim every morning. Takes off  degrees from the cool water to keep my body warm.
