Then I saw an email from Swimoutlet with quess what? Surf Booties.... and I was home free. I bought a pair of these in Hawai''i in 2002 and they sat in the garage for years. When I had rotator cuff surgery this summer and could no longer use the machines at the gym, I took to the pool to walk an hour a day. My O''Neill split toe water shoes were the best, gripped the pool bottom and fit was perfect. But they began to wear and I saw the need to find replacement..... I looked everywhere....even O''Neill doesn''t list them as water shoe, or aqua shoe. Once I discovered the proper name..... SUPERFREAK.... I mean..... who knew???? I got my first pair, a little too small, easy return, and then got the size 13 and I am very happy...... I am in the pool every day for an hour. Now that I have progressed back to the machines some, I do 30 minutes instead of the full hour three times a week. I will still need another pair and thank goodness I know what they are called and where to get them. My entire goal is to get into the pool and swim again, and that is not far off now. I have gotten all my other gear at Swimoutlet and it seems almost all the other people I talk to at the pool get their stuff there too.... From lap counters, to fins, everyone knows about Swimoutlet.com. So happy that now I do too. Big Mahalos!!!
The photo shows the new ones and the old worn ones. The older ones are a little curled and that is why they look so much smaller, and since they are 10 years older, the design may be a part of that too.... The tread pattern is pretty much the same, and that is what makes them grip so well. A GREAT Product.
