It is hard to adjust the strap unless you remove it and adjust it. Next time I'm going to purchase goggles that my daughter can adjust while wearing it.
I've swum competitively since I was 5 years old, and I have tried every goggle imaginable. I used to wear swedish until speedo introduced the vanquisher. I loved it, but always thought the strap was too hard and unforgiving. I didn't find the Remora until I was swimming in college. I loved the fact that it was comfortable like the vanquisher, but the remora has a softer strap. Also, the lens is slightly larger than the vanquisher which allows for better peripheral vision during races. I've never had a problem with the gaskets or the straps dissolving from the chlorine, even after a full season of 5 hours a day in the water. I've owned six pairs of these and will continue to use them as long as Nike will make them.
The mirrored finish is nice and the goggles are comfortable to wear...as long as you're not in the water. I try to use them lap swimming and sprinting, but cannot get them to stop leaking. I have tried all three nose pieces and even when it seems like I have a good fit and great suction, they leak. i think the extra seal is the problem, seems like water gets trapped in there. The regular Remora's do not have the extra seal, i would try those first.
Once i found the right nose piece they fit great. Good clarity of vision, until about 20 mins into my workout, they start to fog up. It's not so bad that i cant see at all, but it is annoying.
I swim on average about 3-4 times a week and I've been very happy with them once I was able to get the goggles nose straps and head straps adjusted, which by the way they come with three different size nose pieces. I admit I was a little apprehensive trying Nike swim goggle but there very much in comparison with there contenders Speedo and TYR.
I baught them for my 11 year old & 8 year old boys so far they are every bit as good if not better then the tyr brand they are used to.
