SIMPLE to use! Keeps me from cheating. I too would love a pause option, so I could pause to see how far I am b/c I cant read while swimming.

This is my replacement counter. My previous one was a simple counter and it last about two years before I lost it.
I swim 5 to 6 times a week and each time swim about 2000 yards. with this new combo counter, it counts the laps and records time for me consistently. I have used this new one for two weeks. Its easy to use and I have very good experience with it.

the only negative is you can''t pause or stop mid workout, otherwise I love it.

I swim 45 laps, six times a week. I''ve used this specific model for many years. Each unit lasts about a year before malfunctioning, which seems reasonable, given the wear & tear and harsh conditions. I click once at the end of each lap. The readout automatically shows the lap number, followed immediately by the lap time, then reverts to a running-count of total elapsed time. At the end of the workout, I click once to record the lap, then press and hold to stop the timer. Only issue is that the click is not always crisp, so it is sometimes hard to tell if the click registered. In truth, clicks rarely fail to register, but a more pronounced click would be reassuring. Also, there is no backlighting, so it is hard to read under very low light, but under normal conditions, it is easy to read. Highly recommended!

I use the product mostly for laps in the pool but have used it at the local track too. Does just what you need, Easy to use, didn't even read directions! I love it!! Only negative thing is the extra length of strap is a bit long on me (small fingers?) and bugs me a little. If it had an additional tab to 'click" the excess strap so it would lay more flat on the ring part it would get 5 stars

The upside, it helps keep track of my lap count & time.  On the down side it is a bit to easy to "double" enter which throws lap count, fastest and average lap time off.  Can not pause the timer and can not see individual lap times when you finish your work out.  I use the counter for swimming and I would have to pause my lap each time to see my lap speed, as there is no pause function it would throw the lap time off as well.
