Perfect!
By Just Add Waaater from Novato, CA on 5/17/2011
I was never able to keep track of my lap count before this. Now I know exactly how many laps and how long I've been swimming. It helped me to move up from ??? laps to 40, then to 70 per session in about the same amount of time, while I'm very focused on my forms, breathing and other details!  I'm aiming for 80 laps this summer.
The best training tool I've ever gotten (thanks Santa!)

Just Relax and Swim..
By THE GUY WHO SPENT WAAAY TOO MUCH TIME REVIEWING THIS ITEM! from Lincoln, NE.. New Orleans, LA on 2/22/2011
QUALITY:  waterproof, light weight, seems durable
SIZE:  entire face is roughly the size of a quarter
FIT:  This little gadget is very adjustable & secure, slides on like a big rubber ring.
EASE:  very simple to use, only one button.  Booklet clearly explains how to "pause", "resume", "complete/review", and "reset".

WHY I BOUGHT MINE:
- I use my lap counter to swim freestyle distance workouts.
- Before purchasing this.. I was swimming 1000+yds at a time & I did not like to concentrate on what lap I was on.. I found myself just zoning-out/relaxing for a couple laps & losing count.
- Since I now use this, I can stop counting & just swim.

DETAILS ABOUT HOW I USE MINE WHILE SWIMMING:
- This thing counts laps.. whenever you decide to click it, it starts as a new lap.  I swim in a 25yd pool, & choose to click my laps every time I get to the wall near where my water bottle is.. therefore each of my laps are 50yds.
- Next, I decide how far I want my total swim to be (ex. 1000yds).  I divide my total workout by my length of laps (1000yds/50yds) and that equals my total number of laps (20 laps).
- Now I know how many laps I want on my counter (20).
- All I have to do is get in the pool and swim, click when I get to the wall by my water bottle, and just keep going until I get to 20.

:)

Now... what you want to know if YOU ARE SERIOUS?

HOW DO YOU SWIM & CLICK THIS THING???
DOES IS MESS UP YOUR STROKE??
WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT CAN'T "FEEL" THE BUTTON?

Let me start by saying..
I now understand that marine life DEFINITELY feels a difference when humans suction-plug cameras onto their backs!!
This does feel different.  But I'll continue by saying that its worth the funny adjustment period of a week or so.

I wear my counter on my right index finger, and I position the "face" directly on my palm side.  Positioning the counter this way, allows me to cup my hand & secure the counter (with my thumb) in such a way to have minimal drag.

To click the button.  Its easy.  I just coast for a split second (with right hand out front) before you reach the wall and push the button.
You can definitely feel the "click".

Great product
By Geezer swimmer from Cornelius, NC on 1/30/2011
I often lose track of laps, so this helps me. The extra features-- total time, time per lap, average, etc, are nice. Problem: display is difficult to read through goggles without my bifocals. A bigger display with SHARP contrast would be great.

Really useful device!
By JW from Gilbert, AZ on 9/8/2010
I am a relatively new swimmer and this really helps me keep track of my lap count while my brain is so focused on technique, breathing, etc. It works just as described and is very convenient. I like that you can see individual lap times as well as an overall total for all laps...great for tracking progress.

Great for Timing Sprints
By Swimosaur from Knoxville, TN on 7/18/2010
This nifty little stopwatch fits comfortably on my index finger, and doesn't interfere with swimming. Unlike the other reviewers, I do not use it for counting laps, I use it for timing all-out 25 and 50 sprints, and for timing interval sets. Its ability to record times down to  1/100th really shines! How else can you get an accurate time for a 25?

Initially I had some trouble pressing the button reliably, so I missed some times, but with practice, it is becoming easier.
