This is the first dry snorkel I have ever tried. Either the flex tube or the main tube is too short. When on the surface of the water, the dry top constantly gets submerged and leaks a good amount of water that makes its way to the mouthpiece. The purge valve works okay but not as good as my other snorkels.
The bottom of the dry top is just above my head with my face in the water. If the snorkel tube were longer, the dry top would not be constantly exposed to the swells and waves and would probably work okay.
I have since purchased another dry top snorkel that works perfectly.

Excellent value! Stays pretty dry even on rough days. When some water does make it in, it clears easily. I also really like the mask strap clip!

It appears to be everything you might want in a snorkel with one exception. The clear holding device (keeps snorkel attached to your mask) is made of plastic and is poorly designed. An old-fashioned rubber one would be more acceptable.
If you've never gone snorkelling before it is a MUST DO thing while still on earth - you will love it!

I swim daily in a 25 yd long pool. I am still getting used to the snorkel. My swim mask being a purge type tends to become tighter on my face when using the snorkel. I think this problem can be eliminated by using a mask without a nose covering. It would be nicer to be able to swim deeper in the water. Perhaps the clamp being lowered closer to the mouth piece would cure this problem.

This snorkel is "dry" as advertised. The mouth piece is small and perfect since I have TMJ problems. I highly recommend this product!
