This fits nicely on the top-tube of my Fisher-Trek Mendota. While sold to hold gels and snacks, I use it to hold my iPhone, license, credit card/cash, house keys, etc. Has a small inner zipper pocket that can hold Metro tokens, band aids, and other small flat things. As others have recommended, I took out the plastic liner right away, and it holds its shape fine without it. Zipper faces towards the rider. The velcro is quite aggressive and does not come loose; the straps are pretty long (you can cut off the extra if your bike has narrow tubing and you don't need the extra length). If you actually want to carry food, it holds a Kind bar, a Luna Bar, and a Lara bar (at the same time) plus a few gels (or a whole fistful of gels instead). It's somewhat water-resistant - it kept my iPhone dry enough during about 30 minutes of unexpected light rain - I don't think it would have kept the water out for a longer or heavier rain. Its slim size means I can leave it on the bike all the time - it never gets in the way.
