Straw loosely woven allows too much sun on head & face. Other features are nice-wide brim with trim, internal hat band.

It's like wearing an umbrella...and if that' what you are looking for then it would be great for you. My daughter was planning to use it for lifeguarding at the pool, but it blocks her view. Returning it.

Hat came very quickly. Style is great, wide brim, gonna be great for outdoor painting. However, it wasn't expensive, I think like $11. So I didn't expect too much. It is fragile, the reed on the top of the hat is already cracking it will not take much knocking around. I should get a summer out of it. All I really expected. For that price, if it at least lasts the summer, I'll get another one next summer season.
