I''m 51 and run between 8 & 10, I wear the large.  If you''re a smaller 8, you might want the medium, as long as you don''t have to cover a lot of assets.  The rise is not super low,  Sits on my bikini panty line.  Coverage is moderate.  The ruffle is super cute and minimizes the look of your assets.  As with all swimsuits..order a size up.

Loving the ruffles! Not too revealing, and low rise waist. Plenty of bottom coverage. Wish it came in XS, I am a size 0...so S a tad loose. I am wearing it now!
