Love the wide band at waist and legs. Wore them for an indoor tri - no problems, no ride up.

They had my size! The shorts are very comfortable...but slightly see thru in bright sunlight. I like the waist and legs - no grippers, but they still say in place!! So that is very comfortable. There is a little pocket that sets in the small of your back and can hold a key or a CC or DL. So that is a nice feature. Lightweight chamois is great for a tri short. So I love everything about it - but just beware that the fabric has that ''dimpled'' texture to it and can tend to be sheer in the bright sunlight.

This is my 4th year racing triathlons and I've been on the look out for flattering tri shorts and these are just that. Instead of elastic grippers (which are so unflattering) the band at the bottom is a little snugger which doesn't leave a dent in your leg. The waist band doesn't pinch, it's flexible and comfortable. It's a tri short so it doesn't have padding like bike shorts. I rode 60 miles followed by a 30 min run and they were comfortable on both the bike and run. The tag said they were coated with silicone so they would dry fast, but I haven't worn them in the water so I can't say if that's true. There is a small pouch in the back that can hold a gu and it doesn't have a draw string.
