I use gloves whenever I ride. I am a casual but fairly strong rider. I like to use gloves for reducing fatigue from road vibration in my hands. These are the third pair of quality gloves I've bought, the others were other brands. These Pearl Izumi gloves are simply the best bike gloves I have ever used. They're attractive, too!
