my 11 yr. old daughter is very tall. i didn't know whether to get her the jr. or regular. i'm glad i went with the jr. she said it is super comfortable and she loves the colors because she can easily separate hers from the teams blue/white ones.

Not sure if $4 extra is worth it for the colors but what are you gonna do. It works like its supposed to!

My two daughters (ages 9 and 11) love the green/yellow colors of the pull buoys, which makes it easy for them to tell which buoys belong to them at the end of swim team practice. This is a perfect size for kids or smaller adults, and the extra money for the funky colors is well worth it. However, my younger daughter has been getting a rash on her inner thighs from using hers. Both girls have been swimming competitively for several years but just switched to a team that uses pull buoys much more often for drills, so the issue may be more a matter of my daughter getting used to not moving her legs during pulling drills rather than a problem with the pull buoy itself (my older daughter has had no issues with rashes from her buoy). Hopefully the constant exposure to water and chlorine will also soften up the buoy a bit to prevent some of the chafing (both buoys were pretty stiff when they arrived).

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who participates in our local Swim Team. While it's not used every day, its a piece used at least biweekly by her. The only thing I noticed is that it dents or rips fairly easily. It appears to be something that might need to be replaced before she outgrows it.
