I''m 5''11" and athletic. My waist measures 29 inches around. I normally buy Medium shorts and pants/tights, but since there was no availability in these shorts, I thought I would try size Small. The waist fits, but I found during running that I would need to pull the shorts lower around my hips in order to have enough fabric in the liner to preclude chafing on my male parts.

Bought this short as a race short and fast training short. It serves it purpose nicely and it's light, dries quickly, and not too long (nor too short) for me. Wide legs, without a split, offers nice movement and no restriction as you are running. They ride up a little bit, depending on your build, but are not "short-shorts". Overall, great product, good performance and a solid choice for the money.
