I got this for my daughter and our recent trip to Hawaii. It fits true to size. The top fits small chested girls but comfortably stretches for busty girls. That being said, it does not get loose when wet. It has nice trim detail and dries quicly after rinsing in fresh water. It is well made but seems pricy for a child's suit that will be outgrown in a season. However, bathing suit choices in Flagstaff are limited during the winter so I am happy with the purchase.

The top stretched out a bit after a few uses but overall we love it! It has handled pools and ocean water. It took a beating with some boogie boarding but still looks really cute! Regarding the hard ocean surf - the lining of the trunk is open at the sides so the crotch filled with sand like a sand bag - so maybe good for gentler waters in the ocean. The trunks cleared out ok in the sink.
