I''m a lifeguard that spends most of my shifts wearing two pieces underneath my shirt and shorts because it is much more convenient that way. I also swim on a team and I wear two piece guard suits to workouts.
I used these to guard a few shifts and they were very comfortable and I had no problem with the leg openings cutting off circulation as I had with other brands. I also used this guard bottom in conjunction with another random swim suit top to do some springboard diving practice after my workout. They are very secure and being a size 0 I found the x-small to fit perfectly. The drawstring will come in handy later when it stretches out a bit more.
The only gripe I have is that the leg opening is pretty high-cut and in order to wear the bottoms comfortably, you need to pull up the waist pretty high (think granny panty status). Judging from the picture in the description, I thought that I was purchasing something that was closer to a hipster cut (square hip). However, I am not returning these because I don''t think that the high leg opening is a big enough deal breaker. On the bright side, when the weather is more forgiving I can wear these bottoms to even out my one-piece swimsuit tan.
