typical girl neckline may be a problem

Size: Feels true to size
It seems girls tops have higher trim at the neckline and that makes them awful for my grand daughters to get off.  They outgrow that and we need to buy bigger sizes.  Boys shirts don't have the mock turtleneck, so why the difference?
