Bald guy at the San Diego beaches. Needed top-of-the-head sunburn protection. Also need solid construction and tight fit for the surf. This cap did all good and was comfortable. No sunburn after many hours body surfing and stayed on.

These keep me warm in cold water and they're easy to put on.

Find this much easier to put on than silicone cap, but it does not keep the water out as well as the silicone.  Will use both of the caps depending on activity of the day in the water.

once it got wet it wouldn't stay on - too annoying

I like this cap because it's at the midway point between normal latex and silicone caps.  This one stays in place and will not slip around during your workout.

Competition caps aren't designed to keep your hair dry. They're designed to keep hair out of your face and to add some bouyancy. To put a cap on without tearing your hair in the process, sprinkle the inside of the cap with some baby powder. Rub/shake the cap to distribute the powder, especially at the edges. Next time you put on the cap, it'll slide on smoothly.
