I got this top with the bottom to wear to the beach and pool with my son. Bikini bottoms with ties tend to either come undone or get caught on his little legs so it was perfect that the bottoms don't have strings. The top fits great and I didn't have to continuously adjust as I do with most triangle style tops. GREAT bikini all around!
