I used this years ago - but could never find it again- but it is the best at getting chlorine out of your hair after workouts. It really saves your hair (and I need all the help I can get), and you don't have that pool smell all day.
I first shampoo w/regular shampoo then finish w/Ultraswim to remove the chlorine from my hair. I swim 45 min 3 times a week and the chlorine was causing my hair to be brittle & break. A neighbor friend told me about Ultraswim, and I first purchased it at Safeway, but it costs twice as much as it does at Swim Outlet. That gets pretty spendy considering the bottle is only 7 oz. I am so grateful I can purchase it for less at Swim Outlet. My hair is in much better shape now. I also use my regular conditioner as well as the Ultraswim conditioner to make sure I get all the chlorine out. One thing, Ultraswim shampoo has an odd smell to it, but for what it does, I can live with it.
I've used UltraSwim since my more-active masters swimming days in AZ over 10 years ago and continue to use it as a recreational swimmer (@2 times a week). Seems very effective--hair doesn't get the rubbery feel and look I used to get from swimming in chlorine. (I wear a swim cap.)
I noticed an improvement in the condition of my hair after the very first use. Chlorine leaves hair feeling straw like and very dry....even without a conditoner my hair returned to its normal state. One thing to keep in mind; however, is that my hairstylist mentioned to me that shampoos of this nature will damage highlighted or colored hair...but then so does chlorine.
I swim daily and this product does a great job of getting the chlorine and especially the smell out of my hair. It is not often available locally (I live in a small town), so I have to buy it on-line. Swim Outlet had the best price -- about what I used to pay locally (when I could find it)
This is the second time I've purchased this shampoo. I suppose it is better than regular non-swimmer shampoo. I've found that using conditioner makes more of a difference than this shampoo.
