My son got ear tubes, this cap worked good no need to put ear plugs.

I swim regularly and get swimmer's ear if the water gets in my ears so I use earplugs and a cap that covers the ears. This cap was billed as an over-the-ears type, but was a little disappointing. It has a sort of dusty feel (as if it had been powdered) rather than a rubbery sense. It doesn't quite have that feeling of being stretchy and gripping. Kind of slides up a little while you're swimming. If you don't care about covering the ears it would be just fine.

I like that it covers my ears, that it is strong enough to withstand my moderate tugging on it, and that it doesn't stick or slide--- it's just right!

I've had several. They are comfortable and will last for a while.
