I like these 'okay'; just a little shorter than I was expecting. The elastic waist is nice.

These shorts are too big in the front but they are also very short. If you're a lifeguard, they'll be riding up if you are wearing a one piece for sure.

I use the shorts numerious ways ,as a sleep short.,as swim trunks , working in the garden even as underwear. Any time I am in public I wear a supporter but this is not an issue. The shorts are comfotable and light weight. A size larger is recomened . A younger man or woman could wear them running or joging. I might try 2XL for a little more coverage as I am older with 12 pack abs.

i have used dolphin running shorts for underwear for 30 years. now i cannot find a retail outlet that carries them anymore.so i bot the swim shorts and they did not have an inner liner and did not indicate that in the on lin e description BUT i kept them aqnyway. i have a 40 inch waist and bot the xxl and they were tight. thats it.
